At MST, quality is not something checked only after a product is completed. It begins with clear specifications, technical drawings, approved materials, and prototype validation, then continues through production, finishing, assembly, inspection, and packaging.
Our quality system is designed to prevent problems early, control variation during manufacturing, and ensure that every product is evaluated against the requirements established for the customer, product, and destination market.

MST follows a Total Quality Management approach built around one fundamental principle: Do It Right the First Time.
Quality is not assigned only to the inspection team at the end of production. It is a shared responsibility across product development, engineering, material preparation, machining, finishing, assembly, packaging, and management.
Before production begins, approved drawings, prototypes, finish samples, materials, hardware, and packaging requirements establish the standard that the factory must follow. During manufacturing, each department is responsible for checking its own work and identifying variation before the product moves to the next stage.
This structured approach allows issues to be addressed closer to their source, helping improve consistency, reduce rework, and maintain greater control across both custom projects and ongoing production programs.
The MST Quality Control System
Eight Quality Touchpoints. One Continuous System of Control.
MST’s eight QC touchpoints create a continuous system of control—from raw materials and technical drawings through production, final inspection, and packaging verification.
Each touchpoint serves a distinct purpose, but they operate together as one connected process. The objective is to establish the correct standard before production, monitor the product while it is being made, and verify that the finished goods are properly inspected and protected before shipment.

Whitewood Assembly
Wood, panels, veneers, laminates, upholstery materials, hardware, and other specified components are reviewed before they enter production. The purpose is to confirm that the materials align with the approved product requirements and are appropriate for their intended application.
Approved designs are translated into detailed production information defining dimensions, materials, construction, hardware, finishes, and assembly requirements. Clear technical drawings provide a common reference for engineering, production, and quality-control teams.
The prototype allows the product’s proportions, construction, function, appearance, finish, and manufacturability to be evaluated before mass production. Approved samples and documented revisions then become the reference for production.
Before finishing, the unfinished product is checked for construction accuracy, dimensions, joinery, alignment, stability, component fit, gaps, and visible workmanship. This stage allows structural and assembly concerns to be addressed before coatings are applied.

Packaging Verification
Surface preparation, sanding, color, sheen, texture, coating coverage, edge treatment, and overall appearance are monitored against the approved finish reference. The goal is to maintain a controlled and repeatable finish across the production run.
Hardware, doors, drawers, hinges, slides, adjustable parts, upholstery components, and other functional elements are installed and checked. Alignment, movement, stability, cleanliness, and the overall completed appearance are reviewed at this stage.
Completed products are inspected against the approved drawings, samples, workmanship requirements, and buyer specifications. Dimensions, function, finish, appearance, accessories, hardware, and product cleanliness are verified before the product is released for packing.
Packaging materials, protective components, cartons, hardware packs, assembly instructions, labels, and carton markings are checked before shipment. Packaging verification helps protect the finished product through handling, loading, transportation, and delivery.
